‘I acted for Paul McCartney in his divorce – Heather Mills was furious at the settlement’

Sir Nicholas Mostyn was a highly successful divorce barrister, nicknamed “Mr Payout”, who acted for many celebrities including Princess Diana and Sir Paul McCartney.
He retired as an influential and famously outspoken High Court judge last year, after being diagnosed with Parkinson’s in 2020, though he still rides his horse and skis.
He now stars in the Movers and Shakers podcast on living with Parkinson’s.
Sir Nicholas, 66, has four children by his first marriage, and lives in Chelsea with his second wife, barrister Liz Clarke.
