Young Solicitor of the Year
This award is generously sponsored by 36 Family represented at the awards by Gwynfor Evans.
Young Solicitor of the Year was awarded to Charlotte Lanning, Edwards Family Law.
The Young Solicitor of the Year category recognises an emerging talent who is already making waves in the field of financial remedies. Whether through standout contributions to key cases, sharp legal thinking, or a strong commitment to pro bono work. These categories aim to highlight individuals that demonstrate exceptional promise early in their career.
Here's what the judges had to say:
"Our award for the young solicitor of the year goes a Senior Associate solicitor who carries almost effortlessly an impressive and heavy case load. She comes highly rated in the directories and by her referees. Despite her youth she is already making an impact on the wider plain of family law, commenting in the media about legal issues and making contributions to the Financial Remedies Journal. A recent FRJ blog about the film “The Roses” should be required reading for divorcing couples and family professionals alike.
Beyond the immediate case work she has been a key part of the success of the evolution of the boutique family law firm in which she works. She was the first person in her family to go to university, attending Pembroke College, Oxford. She regularly returns to her sixth form to give talks and to encourage and mentor others to consider a career in the law.
She has an extremely promising future ahead of her."
