Winners were announced during a special ceremony following the Financial Remedies Conference 2026, hosted by Samantha Hillas KC & awards presented by Lord Charlie Falconer, & the categories sponsor representative.

Thank you to those who joined us for the awards. The awards were a fantastic opportunity to come together as a community to celebrate and recognise the incredible achievements of each of the winners.

Young Solicitor of the Year

This award is generously sponsored by 29 Bedford Row represented at the awards by Nicholas Allen KC.

Young Solicitor of the Year was awarded to Taler Kelly, Irwin Mitchell LLP

The Young Solicitor of the Year category recognises an emerging talent who is already making waves in the field of financial remedies. Whether through standout contributions to key cases, sharp legal thinking, or a strong commitment to pro bono work. These categories aim to highlight individuals that demonstrate exceptional promise early in their career.

What the judges said:
“The winner was chosen because she showed real strength across contribution to practice, notable cases, settlement and non-court resolution. Her pro bono work and wider contribution to the profession were exceptional. The judges highlighted her pro bono High Court appeal, a settlement of more than £6m that she negotiated, a complex protected-party matter and her seminar on Sharia law.”
