DJ Clare Hockney
Clare Hockney is the lead editor of the Equal Treatment Bench Book and a member of the Judicial Diversity Committee. She has been a Tribunal Judge since 2013, when she joined the Social Entitlement Tribunal. She was also appointed to sit in the Special Educational Needs and Disability Tribunal in 2016. In 2019, DJ Hockney became a salaried District Judge in the Family Court, undertaking child-related and Equality Act work. Clare is now on long term re-deployment to the Health, Education and Social Care Chamber.
DJ Jamal Jeffers
DJ Jeffers has been a salaried District Judge since November 2024, sitting in the Leicester County and Family Court. Prior to that he was a specialist Family Barrister dealing primarily with children work.
Mavis Amonoo-Acquah, Harcourt Chambers
Mavis is a Family Law barrister with a focus on Children Law - in particular, Private children, International children, Surrogacy/fertility law and modern families. Mavis’ practice includes a significant amount of High Court work and she has appeared in the Court of Appeal as a junior to leading Silks.
