Guide | Using Twilio Authy Desktop App in Quantum

Once you have been registered as a new Quantum user a link will be emailed to you, inviting you to create an account. Click on the link and enter the username and password provided in the email.

You have now created a Quantum account. You will be prompted to reset your password when you first login.

Next, you will be asked to set up 2 factor authentication.

Click ‘OK’ and you will see the following message:

Open another tab in your browser and visit and use the direct download option, selecting the appropriate operating system from the list and click Download.

Once installed this icon will appear on your desktop:

Open the program by double clicking the Authy icon.
Select the relevant country code and enter your mobile phone number (please note you will not need your mobile each time you log into Quantum)

You will then be prompted to enter your email address and click ‘Next’.

Authy will ask if you would prefer to receive your verification code via SMS or Phone call.

If you select SMS you will receive a text message containing a code to enter into the screen:

Enter the 6 digit code into Authy.

To create your 2FA account select the + button to add.

You will be asked to enter the code given by Quantum.

Copy and paste the code into Authy.

Name the account ‘Quantum Cloud’ and select a background colour.

Your account has been created and you will be issued a 6-digit code (example on the right):

Enter the 6-digit code into Quantum cloud.

Your 2FA is now set up and ready to use each time you login.
