One of Scotland’s leading QCs has lent his voice to an audio book detailing the notorious divorce case involving the Duchess of Argyll.
Donald Findlay is best known for his work in the High Court, but now he has recorded a version of Allan Nicol’s book, Three Strand Pearl Necklace.
The Duchess’s 1963 divorce shocked the country when it was alleged that she had slept with more than 80 men, said to include two ministers and three members of the royal family.
Granting the divorce, presiding judge Lord Wheatley said she “was a completely promiscuous woman whose sexual appetite could only be satisfied with a number of men”.
