A review of how family courts protect children and parents in cases of domestic abuse was launched yesterday.

The Ministry of Justice said a panel of experts, including senior judges, academics and charity officials would be involved.

The review will examine issues around the use of applications for contact made by the perpetrators or alleged perpetrators of domestic abuse. It will also consider the use of a range of court orders used in such cases.
