Following the outline, partial agreement in March between the United Kingdom and the 27 other EU Member States (EU27), the focus of the Brexit negotiations has now, at last, switched from the ‘withdrawal arrangements’ to the ‘future relationship’. On 12 July the Government published its post-Chequers White Paper The future relationship between the United Kingdom and the European Union which sets out the Government’s broad proposals for the future partnership over a wide range of policy areas.
